About
Hey I am Nancy and I'm a graphic designer. I love figuring out how things work and building things with a focus on technical problem solving. I like structure and planning.
When not at the computer I like to ride with my boyfriend on his motorcycle with my eye on getting my own. I love the gratification of making things with my hands - knitting, sewing, crafting - and I love trying my hand at calligraphy.
An email invitation for my family’s annual clam-bake. It is a
big event so I created an email invitation. This focused on
responsive designs I learned and wanted to build.

Mars Petcare Wireframes
To better illustrate to a potential new client how their creative should be supplied, we created PDF examples of basic wireframes. The wireframes acted as placeholders to show where the variable information would be on the pages. We also included a PDF of the postal service's guidelines for direct mail pieces so that they would understand why some areas were left blank. The guidelines also highlighted specific areas where the type of information being displayed is restricted. For example, the area to the left of the mailing address needs to be free of any additional address information so as not to confuse the USPS OCR.
I was able to adjust the low-res, flattened artwork they provided to show what we were looking for in template-ready creative as well as what would fit the postal service direct mail guidelines. I felt that also providing a few examples using overlays of the artwork, wireframes, and direct mail guidelines would help the client visually.
